EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN AND METHODS:
Tidal creeks are occupied for approximately 8-10 hours from the start of flood tide to the following low tide, with samples taken for the measurement of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and nutrients (this dataset), water volume (EST-RO-TC-LateralExchange-Q.xls), and measurement of water-column conductivity, salinity, and dissolved oxygen (EST-RO-TC-LateralExchange-SONDE.xls). Water samples were obtained by a pump connected to tubing placed on a float in the center of the creek channel. One liter volumes were collected for total suspended sediment analysis, 30 ml were filtered on site and samples placed on ice for nutrient analysis, and 8 ml unfiltered sample was collected in glass vials and preserved with HgCl2 for DIC analysis.
On going collection of data
Version 01: August 4, 2019, data and metadata updates to comply with importation to DEIMS7 and LTER Data Portal. Used MarcrosExportEML_HTML (working)pie_excel2007_Jun2019.xlsm 6/7/19 12:58 PM for QA/QC to EML 2.1.0.
Version 02: May 5, 2020, data and metadata updates to comply with importation to DEIMS7 and LTER Data Portal. Used MarcrosExportEML_HTML (working)pie_excel2007_Sep2019.xlsm 9/3/19 5:19 PM for QA/QC to EML 2.1.0. Added new data and cross referenced old data to ensure quality and integrity. Added a column to identify Sample # within the day. This provides consistency across our raw datasets.
