Abstract: 

Measurement of water-column conductivity, salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and pH logged by deployed sonde in tidal creek systems draining predominantly low-elevation marsh dominated by Sparinta alterniflora (LM1 and LM2) and high-elevation marsh dominated by S. patens (West, Nelson, HM1).  Creeks are located in Rowley, MA, PIE LTER.

EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN AND METHODS:

Tidal creeks are occupied for approximately 8-10 hours from the start of flood tide to the following low tide.  A YSI sonde was deployed in the creek and logged data every 5 minutes during the creek occupations (this dataset), samples were taken for nutrients, suspended solids, and dissolved inorganic carbon (EST-RO-TC-LateralExchange-NUT.xls), and measurement of water-column conductivity, salinity, and dissolved oxygen (EST-RO-TC-LateralExchange-SONDE.xls) were taken.
